  • Location: Cannon AFB

  • Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Saturday


Are you someone who loves working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and knows their way around a commercial mower? If so, CW Resources, is looking for a commercial Mower Operator - Landscaping Crewmember to help maintain the grounds of Cannon AFB.



  • Operate a variety of commercial lawn care equipment, including zero-turn mowers, as well as trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hedge trimmers.

  • Keep grounds looking sharp by edging lawns, trimming weeds, pruning shrubs, and clearing debris from walkways, fences, and landscaped areas.

  • Assist with planting flowers, trees, and shrubs, applying mulch, and maintaining landscaped beds.

  • Perform basic irrigation support, such as watering plants and reporting any system issues.

  • Handle seasonal tasks like leaf cleanup, snow/ice removal (if applicable), and storm debris clearing.

  • Load, unload, and transport landscaping tools and materials safely.

  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a tidy and functional workspace.

  • Conduct daily inspections of all equipment before and after use to ensure safety and performance.

  • Follow schedule and instructions to complete assigned tasks across different base zones.

  • Work as part of a team on larger landscaping projects, including sod installation, erosion control, and other base beautification efforts.

  • Always follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly to protect yourself and your team.


A Day in the Life of a Landscaping Crew Member:



  • Start your day by checking in in your supervisor and your team members.

  • Review the day's assignments, and load up the truck with the tools and equipment you'll need.

  • Once you arrive at your assigned location, you'll jump into action by:

  • Mowing large lawn areas, edging sidewalks and driveways, and trimming around trees, fences, and other hard-to-reach spots.


Next, you'll focus on landscaping tasks like:



  • Weeding flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and small trees, laying mulch, or planting seasonal flowers.

  • As you wrap up the job site, you'll blow off walkways, clear any debris, and make sure everything looks polished.

  • You'll reload tools, clean up the work area, and communicate any site notes or equipment issues to your crew leader.

  • Once the team arrives back to the office, you'll help unload, clean up, and prep for the next day.

  • What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Follow safety rules and wears proper protective gear at all times.

  • Work well with others and listens to instructions.

  • Open to learning new tasks and improving skills.

  • Brings a positive attitude and shows up ready to contribute.


What You Need to be Successful:



  • Minimum of 1-year experience operating commercial landscaping or mowing equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail-you care about clean lines, neat edges, and well-maintained spaces.

  • Safety-focused mindset, including proper use of PPE and equipment safety protocols.

  • Self-motivated and dependable attitude-you take initiative and follow through.

  • Be a team-player with good communication and a willingness to help others.

  • Willingness to learn and grow.

  • Valid Real ID.

  • Ability to obtain and sustain federal base access

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and perform detailed tasks.

  • May involve exposure to dust, pollen, fertilizers, and other landscaping materials or chemicals.

  • Requires visual acuity to inspect work quality, identify hazards, and ensure safety compliance.

  • Must be able to hear and respond to verbal instructions, equipment sounds, and environmental cues.

  • Involves navigating uneven terrain, slopes, and potentially slippery or muddy surfaces.

  • May require wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and boots.
