Available Shifts:



  • Night Shift: Monday - Thursday | 5:00 PM - 3:30 PM


Possible overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.

Job Summary

The Equipment Set Up Technician performs product changeovers, size adjustments, and machine tooling changes in compliance with SOPs and cGMP standards. This role ensures equipment is properly set up for safe, efficient production and troubleshoots issues during product runs to minimize downtime.

The technician supports team operations, prioritizes workflow within assigned areas, and helps drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Set up, operate, and adjust production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and quality output



  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions; perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs



  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency



  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and team members to improve processes and equipment



  • Maintain effective shift-to-shift communication and manage priorities



  • Adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and company policies



  • Model Spectrum Brands values and support departmental and organizational goals



  • Assist other departments as needed based on business needs



Education and Experience Profile

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience in manufacturing or similar mechanical role preferred.

Required Skills

  • Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods preferred.


Work Environment

Repetitive movements required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Must be available to work across multiple shifts. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must wear all prescribed PPE including, but not limited to hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator, and steel toed shoes.

Otherwise, working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
