Aerospace Traffic & Distribution Coordinator

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Traffic & Distribution Coordinator to join our team in Mojave, CA! In this role you will be assigned an account and are responsible for processing documents for shipping domestic and international shipments. You will work onsite in our Mojave plant and report to the Distribution Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures for processing documents for shipping domestic and international shipments

• Provides additional backup support for distribution department.

• Housekeeping/5S to ensure a safe and efficient production environment

• Coordinates and prepares documents for shipments with logistics carriers and ensures productivity goals and customer requirements are met with each order

• Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, internal customers, inventory control team, shipping and receiving teammates, and others involved in the shipment of products.

• Comply with all safety regulations outlined by company

• Consistently running reports and checking for test reports throughout shift.

• Processing work order closures and allocations based upon availability and customer requirements.

• Work with various functions of the shipping process.

• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents while gathering and maintaining all data relative to shipping activities.

• Provide support of printing and checking orders requested by outside departments

• Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.

• 1+ years of related work experience required. Experience in an office setting preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and Access.

• Adhere to shipping and inventory operating procedures.

• Experience working in a fast paced distribution environment helpful but not required.
