The Senior Administrator Logistics is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory accuracy and material flow within the facility. This role partners with the Receiving Clerk to ensure materials are received, documented, and stored properly, while maintaining precise records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. The Inventory Control Specialist will monitor inventory levels, enforce best practices, and support production needs by ensuring timely and accurate availability of materials.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Receiving & Inventory Management
- Partner with and support the Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and documentation of inbound materials
- Oversee inventory control activities including cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems
- Manage stock order release, flow, and closure
- Coordinate intercompany transfers for stock items
- Process Optimization & Compliance
- Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for receiving, storage, and inventory control
- Monitor inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy %, receiving timeliness, discrepancy resolution time) and report results to management
- Review min/max levels on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) items
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, warehouse standards, and quality requirements
- Lead and support annual physical inventory counts and conduct monthly mock inventory audits
- Drive 5S enhancement efforts to improve workplace organization and efficiency
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping teams to maintain material availability and streamline workflows
- Compile and distribute month-end reports for inventory and operational performance
- Other duties as assigned
Show your expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or materials management within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to direct and motivate staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
