About the Role As the IT Mobilization Manager, you will take a hands-on role in executing the deployment and configuration of IT infrastructure for new jobsites and offices. This is a technical execution-focused position where you will lead mobilization efforts through direct involvement, stakeholder collaboration, and oversight of external contractors and consultants-ensuring accountability for their successful delivery without managing direct reports. You will travel up to 50% per month to support on-site needs, working independently as a self-starter to visualize, plan, and bring IT solutions to life. Success in this role hinges on your strong understanding of project management, networking fundamentals and a customer-service orientation that emphasizes relationship building to foster trust and alignment with project teams. Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and technical execution of the mobilization, deployment, and configuration of remote networks and office technologies at our jobsites and remote offices.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and technical execution of office technology implementation and management at our corporate offices during office moves and remodels.
- Develop and manage detailed mobilization plans, including task sequencing, dependency mapping, and schedules to meet strict deadlines.
- Monitor deployment progress, communicate status, risks, and schedule performance to stakeholders; travel to sites for direct oversight, hands-on configuration, and issue resolution.
- Translate business requirements and desired outcomes into technical strategies and specifications; execute deployments while holding external contractors and consultants accountable for accurate, timely implementations.
- Oversee the setup and management of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint sites, file shares, and data repositories for construction projects.
- Execute and guide the configuration and management of devices using Intune, including enrollment and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, management and support of remote networks located in our construction project trailers and remote offices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all mobilizations, configurations, and vendor interactions to ensure compliance and future reference.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, providing exceptional customer service to resolve issues proactively and ensure seamless execution.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT deployment, infrastructure management, or project execution, with at least 2 years in multi-site environments (e.g., construction or industrial sectors).
- Strong understanding of network concepts, including LAN design, IP addressing, and internet technologies, to support infrastructure setups.
- Proven track record as a self-starter, capable of working independently through to completion in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
- Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills: Ability to foster partnerships, elicit requirements through collaborative discussions, and manage expectations with clear, expert communication.
- Proficiency in planning: Proactive approach to creating schedules, identifying dependencies, and driving tasks to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% per month and be based out of our Broomfield, CO office
- Experience directing external contractors and consultants, ensuring accountability for deliverables without direct supervision.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of systems administration, including server configuration and user access management.
- Expertise in computer and device management principles.
- Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
Compensation
- The anticipated salary range for this position is budgeted at $100,000 - $130,000 a year.
