Position Title: SMT Technician
Wage: $19/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 11pm-7am QPS Employment Group is hiring a SMT Technician for a company in Germantown, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. SMT Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment (pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, screen printers) - Load components, feeders, and materials according to production schedules - Inspect PCBs for defects such as misalignment, solder issues, or missing components - Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to machines as trained - Document production data, defects, and downtime accurately - Follow ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all times - Assist with changeovers and preventive maintenance activities - Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area SMT Technician Requirements: - Previous SMT, electronics manufacturing, or machine operation experience preferred - Ability to read work instructions, schematics, and assembly documentation - Familiarity with ESD requirements and electronic components - Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail - Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and documentation - Strong attendance and reliability - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to stand or sit for extended periods - Ability to lift up to15-30 pounds as needed - Manual dexterity for handling small components - Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
