Position Title: Logistics Assistant
Wage: $20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented team member for a Logistics Assistant position in Cedar Falls, IA. This role combines front desk reception duties, coordination with drivers, data entry, and general warehouse support. You'll be a key part of keeping our shipping and receiving process running smoothly. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Logistics Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Greet drivers/vendors, answer phones, and provide front desk support - Instruct truck drivers on where to go and assist with check-in procedures - Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments for accuracy and damage - Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders - Enter shipment and inventory data into the Warehouse Management System - Prepare outgoing shipments-packaging, labeling, documentation - Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records - Schedule pickups and coordinate deliveries with carriers - Assist with inventory counts and stock tracking as needed - Perform warehouse work as required Logistics Assistant Requirements: - Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Comfortable interacting with drivers and supporting front desk operations - Basic computer skills and ability to enter data into systems - Willing to assist with physical warehouse tasks when needed - Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience helpful but not required QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
