Process Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Safety Conscious follows all safety procedures and rules. Identifies potential safety issues and reports them immediately to their Supervisor, Plant Manager or HR Manager.
• Has completed Mold Setter training.
• Knows the proper way of pulling and setting molds.
• Able to keep up with daily tasks and perform mold changes and other tasks in a timely manner with minimal mistakes.
• Certified in the safe use of the crane.
• Trained on "Safety door verification".
• Skilled and certified to drive the Tow motor.
• Has knowledge and understanding of the Work Order process.
• Understands the difference between insulated and hot runners.
• Is able to identify correct tooling option for job.
• Knowledgeable on shutting down presses (All of them).
• Understands the basic controls and presses (All of them).
• Knows how to pull runners.
• Knows how to load set ups and zeroing of molds.
• Performs housekeeping when needed with little to no prompting.
• Basic understanding of downstream equipment, Able to set up FBS, Layer Packer, Side by Side, start most equipment, reports issues to maintenance in a timely manner.
• On the production floor and ready to work at the start of the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/ Previous Experience:

• Basic shop math/computer skills
• Basic machine troubleshooting skills/ability to solve mechanical issues
• Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs
• Ability to work independently and be proactive
• Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
• Min of high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to lift and or move weights up to 35 lbs.
• Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
• Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
