ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the design, development and coordination of training sessions, programs and competency testing for Revenue Cycle Operations. Prepares, assembles and revises course materials annually or as requested to meet department needs. Achieves and maintains a solid understanding of the business environment as a whole, including business practices, processes and strategies. Conducts training, development, competency testing and general orientation sessions for partners in all areas of Revenue Cycle including Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care and Coding. Assists in evaluation of effectiveness of training programs. Develops presentation materials, leads meetings and facilitates workgroups. Maintains master training calendar, ensure availability of equipment, space and materials. Prepares course advertising materials; coordinates schedule of external and internal training resources. Communicates all set-ups of training sessions and ensures necessary materials and supplies are available. Follows-up with staff in-person after completion of training to ensure competency or retraining as necessary. Works with management team to provide additional support including coaching and in-services. Facilitates, and measures regular quality audits across the Revenue Cycle areas to ensure areas meet organizational objectives; Conducts quality audits and provides feedback to division leadership. Provides analysis of the quality metrics and updates on Revenue Cycle dashboard. Identifies and facilitates lean initiatives for areas that fail to meet performance metrics. Demonstrates collaboration and flexibility to deliver education when most convenient for the department. Partners with information systems to test all EPIC upgrades for Revenue Cycle areas with keen understanding of changes and impacts to revenue cycle processes. Documents department workflows and inter-departmental impacts via Visio workflow documentation. Identifies opportunities for improvements during workflow documentation and notifies leadership of such opportunities. Creates and maintains workflow documentation and training materials in a central storage location to allow partner accessibility when needed. Partners with all team members to achieve goals. Remains receptive to others' ideas and opinions. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Three years of experience, developing, planning and facilitating training materials, performance improvement and program management required.
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication & presentation skills required.
- Three years of revenue cycle related functions in conjunction with training preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate experience in developing and conducting employee training programs required.
- Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft office, Visio, and Microsoft Word Required.
- Experience with software related to developing training and other virtual training materials required.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Healthcare revenue cycle related certification or an equivalently designated certification approved by management required within 1 year.

Excellent oral communication skills/organizational skills Ability to handle stress and problem solve Computer experience required Knowledge of Epic desirable Able to work independently Medical Terminology, CPT, ICD-10 experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word. Must have sufficient computer skills to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, and electronically notate registration software, and other required applications/systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with peers, supervisors, payers, physicians, patients, and other departments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occupational Exposure: Category C - No partners in the specified job classification have occupational exposure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have good manual dexterity to operate keyboard and telephone; repetitive finger/wrist movement associated with use of keyboard; prolonged sitting. The employee must be able to lift or move office related objects
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION Independent judgment is required, and is responsible for notifying leadership of those partners not meeting competency requirements

$23.18 - $34.78
