Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to supervise and coordinate all activities related to maintaining and repairing building structures, equipment, and plant grounds. This role directly manages the Maintenance Department and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards.



Key Responsibilities:



Leadership & Supervision



  • Directly supervise all Maintenance Department employees.
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate, coach, and discipline staff as needed.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve issues in accordance with company policies.



Safety (Priority #1 at MCC)



  • Follow all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns immediately.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior at all times and model expectations for the team.



Maintenance Operations



  • Lead workers performing machine repair, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
  • Establish and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program.
  • Request and manage tools, equipment, and supply needs.
  • Train maintenance personnel on equipment, processes, and safety.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Review production schedules and determine labor requirements for job completion.
  • Recommend improvements to equipment, work processes, and workspace conditions.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist team members in doing so.
  • Motivate employees and maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work and reduce downtime.



Compliance & Reporting



  • Maintain waste records and programs in accordance with OSHA & DHEC regulations.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school OR 5-8 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and technical documents.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to groups.
  • Basic math skills including percentages, proportions, and geometry; ability to apply mathematical concepts to maintenancerelated tasks.



Physical Demands



  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and use of hands/arms.
  • Regular lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
