The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce Account Receivable / AR days. The Medical Biller will be responsible for submitting billing data to commercial payors for home health services. The successful candidate will also perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion. Additional tasks will include working claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided. The successful applicant with work on various tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation, and exercising judgment within the appropriate scope of practice.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred; work experience in lieu of education will be considered
• Minimum of two (2) plus years of home health revenue cycle experience required
• Understanding of commercial payor billing / recovery, HIPAA and compliance related guidelines
• Proficiency with electronic medical records / EMR - MatrixCare experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Accurate numeric/alphanumeric data-entry skills and attention-to-detail
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
