About the role

This construction professional utilizes his/her experience and education to take concepts/project requests/project plans and articulates those into WRITTEN SCOPES to allow for the execution of those SCOPES via service agreements/contracts. Estimating is a collateral duty.

While closely interacting with Director, Preconstruction/Proposal Development and VP Renovation & Construction, this candidate will take project concepts and general project plans transferring them to WRITTEN SCOPES allow for successful bidding of such work and ultimately the execution of the work by subcontracted crews. Interaction with Owner Client for verification of project desires/requirements will also be required along with general estimating efforts to validate subcontractor bids. This is a remote position.

  • Development of written scopes of work for use in Requests for Proposals
  • Interaction with stakeholders
  • Understanding the cost development of construction projects


Who we are looking for



  • Bachelor's degree reflecting recognition of acceptable writing ability


  • 3 or more years of experience in technical writing, construction documentation, estimating support, or military hosing contracting environments
  • 3 years of similar experience in WRITING scopes for execution of construction projects
  • Experience supporting multifamily renovations and capital repair work, including building envelope, interiors, MEP, utilities, and site amenities
  • Strong understanding of construction terminology, building systems, and renovation workflows
  • Working knowledge of RSMeans and conceptual estimating practices
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft 365, including Copilot
  • Experience with EagleView and Hoover, or the ability to learn quickly with demonstrated comparable tool experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, formatting, and document control skills
  • Strong technology and digital workflow skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 10 to 25 percent for field verification and assessments
  • Ability to physically access active construction jobsites and residential communities for due diligence, including climbing ladders, accessing roofs, entering attic or crawl spaces, and performing typical field verification activities


  • Active and valid driver's license

Pay Rate: $90,000 yr.*

*This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
