Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead efforts in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions in the big data ecosystem Involve integrating various tools and technologies, optimizing platform performance, and providing technical recommendations Requirements: Expertise in collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets, with a focus on building scalable and flexible data architectures Extensive experience within the market data space across global markets Deep expertise in Cloudera Hadoop and its ecosystem, including HDFS, YARN, Spark, Impala, and Ranger Knowledge of Iceberg and Object Storage (S3, Ozone) Strong Knowledge of Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration Strong Python development skills for automation, development and integration with frameworks like FastMCP, FastAPI, GUNICORN Proficiency in Python packages such as Spacy, NumPy, Pandas, Polars Intermediate to advanced Linux/Unix Knowledge, including bash/shell scripting Demonstrable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including analyzing error messages and deriving Strong Python development skills for automation and development, Cloud, Containers & Linux knowledge, and expertise in troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards Desired skills: Great Organizational and communication skills Ability to deliver in a demanding environment Ability to work closely with senior technologists Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
