Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior DataStage Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using IBM DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Create and maintain logical and physical database models; ensure data integrity and performance optimization
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and deliver incremental value
• Work with multiple data sources (relational, flat files, APIs) and integrate them into enterprise data warehouses
• Optimize ETL jobs and database queries for scalability and efficiency
• Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and database schemas
• Partner with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to ensure requirements are met
• Diagnose and resolve issues in ETL workflows and data pipelines

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with IBM DataStage (parallel and server jobs)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle SQL Server)
• Proficiency in database design principles (normalization, indexing, partitioning)
• Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting ETL jobs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers
