Job Summary


The Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, integrating, verifying, and validating electrical systems across all phases of the product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. This role translates customer requirements into technical solutions while considering cost, schedule, and risk. The position requires systems engineering expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work onsite.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation for total systems



  • Conduct functional analyses, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies



  • Translate customer or product requirements into hardware and software specifications



  • Conduct cost, risk, and supportability analyses for electrical systems



  • Apply circuit failure mode analysis to ensure system reliability



  • Review and interpret engineering documentation, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), electrical schematics, CAD models, and assembly-level drawings



  • Support systems engineering activities related to requirements development and verification



  • Use tools such as Visio and CAD software for design and documentation



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support onsite system implementation and testing



  • Travel as required to other company locations, including AL, CO, CA, and PA




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field



  • 1 - 3+ years of experience in analog circuit design (internship experience acceptable)



  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting, circuit failure mode analysis, and electrical testing



  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and engineering documentation



  • Experience with systems engineering requirements and verification processes



  • Knowledge of electrical standards and best practices



  • Proficiency in Visio; experience with CAD software preferred



  • Active Secret Clearance required



  • Willingness to travel as needed




Education




  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field




Work Experience




  • 1-4 years in circuit design, electrical testing, and reading schematics



  • 1-2 years in circuit failure mode analysis and requirements development



  • 1-4 years of experience applying electrical standards and troubleshooting techniques
