What You'll Do:
Triton International is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to assist our Audit team in the performance of business systems internal audits. This role provides hands-on experience in a variety of areas within corporate auditing. The intern will work closely with the entire Internal Audit team, working on various special projects, providing management with objective assessments, recommendations, and pertinent information regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the team with compliance activities related to Sarbanes-Oxley; specifically in the documentation and evaluation of Internal Controls in accordance with Section 404.
- Process flow charts and narratives
- Support with testing of key controls
- Supporting the internal audit staff in documenting audit procedures and conclusions through the preparation of detailed and fully supported work-papers.
- Working closely with other auditors to help identify process improvement opportunities and effective internal controls.
- Assisting internal auditors in the completion of external audit requirements.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Rising senior or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting or Information Technology Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of D365 a plus
- CPA, CIA, or CISA candidate a plus
- Ability to take ownership and shows interest in work-related initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to commit to 37.5 hours/week from June 8th - August 14th, 2026
- Must be at a commutable distance (within 50 miles) to the Purchase, NY office
