Are you passionate about cutting-edge building technology and operational systems? Gorman & Company is seeking a New Development Building Systems Integrator to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of technical systems for our new development communities nationwide. This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure that every property is equipped with best-in-class security, connectivity, and operational platforms - from pre-construction through stabilized operations.

If you have experience with low-voltage systems, property technology, and vendor coordination, and enjoy working at the intersection of construction, IT, and property operations, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on communities that matter.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to design and implement technical systems for new communities

  • Specify, install, test, and transition low-voltage, security, and operational systems to on-site teams

  • Research, evaluate, and standardize systems, software, and products to improve operational efficiency

  • Manage vendor relationships, bulk service contracts, and pricing agreements for nationwide communities

  • Support IT setup and troubleshooting for internet, network, and computer systems

  • Develop and maintain best practice procedures and training resources for on-site maintenance teams

  • Assist with due diligence, construction contracts, and maintenance related to acquisitions or insurance claims

  • Ensure properties are prepared for regulatory inspections, including HUD REAC and HUD INSPIRE

  • Drive projects from pre-construction through stabilized operations, ensuring systems meet functional and compliance requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or related field preferred

  • 3-7 years' experience in property management, construction, or technical services; experience with new developments or lease-ups preferred across a nationwide or multi-state portfolio

  • Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems: access control, CCTV, structured cabling, Wi-Fi, and other building technologies

  • Experience managing vendors and service contracts across a nationwide or multi-state portfolio

  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

  • Basic networking and IT infrastructure knowledge

  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and building systems

  • Strong project coordination, communication, and organizational skills

  • This position can be based anywhere throughout the United States and will require frequent travel throughout a nationwide portfolio.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary between $80,000-$110,000 annually

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) with 6% company match

  • 18 days PTO and 11.5 paid holidays to recharge

  • Paid parental leave and lifestyle spending accounts to support your personal priorities

  • A dynamic, high-impact role where your expertise shapes new communities and sets the standard for operational excellence.

If you're a hands-on problem solver with a passion for building technology and operational excellence, we want to hear from you. Apply today and join Gorman & Company to lead innovative systems in communities that make a difference.
