Job Description: Sterilization Technician Position Summary We are seeking detailoriented and reliable individuals to join our team as Sterilization Technicians. In this essential role, you will ensure all dental instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and organized according to strict safety and infectioncontrol standards. You will help maintain an efficient workflow, support clinical teams, and contribute to the overall quality of patient care. Key Responsibilities Instrument Processing & Infection Control * Clean, sanitize, and sterilize dental instruments following established protocols and OSHA regulations. * Ensure instruments are sterilized promptly upon arrival in central sterilization. * Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all sterilization areas. * Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain accurate logs, including spore testing documentation. * Use the tracking system to monitor instrument flow throughout the sterilization process. Operational Support * Maintain supply levels and communicate needs or issues to the Lead Sterilization Technician. * Keep accurate records of inventory, instrument usage, and sterilization cycles. * Support providers by responding to special instrument or handpiece requests. * Attend required meetings and support team goals and operational performance. Teamwork & Collaboration * Foster positive working relationships and contribute to a collaborative, supportive work environment. * Communicate equipment, supply, or procedural concerns promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations. * Help uphold the Dental Center's commitment to high-quality, safe patient care. Required Skills * Sterile processing * Infection control * Inventory accuracy Additional Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Competencies * Ability to sort, store, and handle instruments correctly * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation * Time management skills to meet procedural and workflow schedules * Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently * Understanding of infectioncontrol standards and best practices * Familiarity with medical or dental instruments Experience Level Entry Level - Training provided Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
