Pay Rate: $29 to 35/hour
Location: New York, NY 10017

Position Overview

Our client, a highly respected and well-known nonprofit organization, is seeking a Temporary Manager, Grants Administration to support their growing development and finance operations. This role will play a critical part in overseeing grant processing, compliance, reporting, and financial tracking to ensure accuracy and adherence to donor requirements.

The ideal candidate brings strong grants management experience, exceptional attention to detail, and prior experience within a nonprofit organization (strongly preferred).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of grants administration, including tracking, reporting, and compliance

  • Reconcile grant revenue and ensure restricted funds are properly allocated

  • Partner with Development and Finance teams to ensure timely reporting to funders

  • Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with funding guidelines

  • Maintain accurate grant records and documentation

  • Support audits and prepare financial schedules related to grants

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and private foundation requirements

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of grants administration or nonprofit finance experience

  • Strong understanding of restricted vs. unrestricted funding

  • Experience with grant reporting and compliance

  • Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills

  • Prior experience in a nonprofit organization strongly preferred

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
