Job Summary

Use detailed understanding of the Alzheimer's Disease Commercialization model to determine the competencies, behaviors and knowledge required for Neurology Account Specialists (NAS) and develop curricula and lead learning content development (Learning Journey) for NAS to achieve in-role effectiveness to support our hhc (human health care) mission. Additionally, this role will be responsible for assisting with training for other matrix roles within AD commercial model as needed.

Individual will use disciplined training approach that begins with aligning learning objectives with key stakeholders, developing engaging content, validating proficiency, and assessing program effectiveness for continual improvement. Knowledge and use of technology to engage learners and maximize impact of learning will be important.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the lead for curriculum development for NAS: Partners with marketing, sales and CT&D team to identify learning needs, create and validate learning objectives, design and develop content to achieve objectives and assess learning effectiveness using a data-driven approach.
  • Create Learning Journey for NAS: Apply principles of the Learning Journey to ensure the curriculum, content and delivery embodies the approach and sequenced learning for NAS to achieve clear objectives during each phase of the Learning journey that will fully enable each role
  • Maintain strong relationship with all stakeholders to understand needs and strategy to ensure development of relevant, timely, cost-effective training solutions that maximize in-house capabilities. Strong ability to develop partnership with Field Excellence Leader and Field Training Managers to support training initiatives
  • Project Management in a Matrixed Organization: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on time with the ability to influence others and accomplish goals within a matrixed environment. Aligning training with Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Sales and Brand will be a critical factor.
  • Develop strong industry partnerships to understand how emerging technology can support delivering the right training at the right time for the business.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, instructional design, human resource development, adult learning or a related field with training experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years of corporate learning and development experience; including needs analysis, curriculum design and development, teaching-related experience, including knowledge of adult learning principles and experience with distance learning and learning management system
  • 10+ years of demonstrated sales success and sales leadership preferred
  • Enduring industry memberships/partnerships to ensure recommended solutions are leveraging innovative technology
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to develop a strategic vision for an organization that aligns with current and future Marketing and Sales strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and build lasting, productive relationships with all levels within and outside the organization, particularly with cross functional teams of non-reports.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, influence, and break down barriers for self and the team within a matrix organization.
  • Highly competent and experienced in adult learning principles and contemporary learning theory and practices, including needs analysis, curriculum design, interactive learning technologies, evaluation, and overall performance consulting and organization development principles, including competency modeling.
  • Maintain training expertise (via research, benchmarking, and continuously seeking industry knowledge) to ensure sales training initiatives are on the cutting edge.
  • Experience managing vendor and consultant relationships to ensure effective design, development, and implementation of training solutions.
  • Ability to effectively present recommendations to senior managers and executives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including planning and facilitating meetings and writing reports to build commitment, share information, gather input, and accomplish tasks.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Nutley, NJ-based role; 3 in office days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs).

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The annual base salary range for the Associate Director, Alzheimer's Disease Training Lead, Sales is from :$166,800-$218,900 Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
