Your Job

The Engineering Training Specialist will support the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for the PDE/CSBU engineering teams. This role is responsible for coordinating training logistics, assisting trainers, preparing and maintaining training materials and the Training Webpage, collecting feedback, and proactively identifying new training needs.

The role will be looked upon to set the organizational standard for what technical training should look like, strive for continued improvement, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background, preferably in electro-mechanical solutions, strong communication skills, proven ability to build collaborative relationships with engineers, and a commitment to supporting and promoting our business values and culture through effective training.

Our Enterprise Solutions business customizes high-speed connectors, cables, and systems within our Datacom Specialty Solutions Division.

What You Will Do

  • Training Coordination: Schedule sessions, manage invitations, arrange logistics (rooms/virtual), and assist with session execution.
  • Trainer Support: Prepare materials, assist with hands-on setups, and ensure trainers have all necessary resources.
  • Content Development: Create, update, and organize training materials, presentations, and exercises in collaboration with SMEs.
  • Training Webpage Maintenance: Continuously update and maintain the training portal with session recordings, slides, and onboarding documents.
  • Feedback Collection & Improvement: Gather feedback from participants, analyze results, and recommend improvements for future sessions.
  • Needs Assessment: Regularly engage with engineering teams to collect training needs, track emerging topics, and adjust the training calendar accordingly.
  • Reporting: Track attendance, completion rates, and feedback trends; provide regular updates to the Training Manager.
  • Onboarding Support: Help deliver and improve onboarding modules for new hires and refreshers for existing employees.
  • Resource Management: Maintain version control and a centralized repository for all training documentation and materials.
  • Alignment: Ensure all training aligns with Koch and CSBU values and operational best practices.
  • Principle Based Management (PBM) Focus: Help embed the Molex, CSBU, and Koch PBM principles to guide, shape, and build the overall culture and operational mindset.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3+ years' experience in training coordination, engineering support, or instructional design (preferably in electro-mechanical/interconnect sectors).
  • Skilled in developing and organizing training materials and managing web/LMS content.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to work with technical staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, basic video editing, and web content management systems.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and act on training feedback and needs.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electro-mechanical Solutions, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with connectors, 224G/448G interconnects, backplane systems, cables, rack systems, etc.
  • Direct experience or working knowledge of SAP, Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM, Jira
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS), SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, or e-learning tools.
  • Basic knowledge of learning principles, formal training and instructional design.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple sites and time zones.

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000-$100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
