Tenure Track Faculty Position University of Southern California Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work About the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work The Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California invites applicants to apply for a tenure track professorship (full professor) to join a community of scholars dedicated to social work research and education. We champion the well-being of individuals, families, and communities through innovative teaching of evidence-based practice and practice-based skills, pioneering transformative research, and cultivating leadership for social change. Our school and university are located in Los Angeles, one of the largest, most diverse, and culturally rich cities in the United States. Our faculty promotes cutting-edge research through seven research centers and institutes (USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging; USC Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society; USC Homelessness Policy Research Institute; Center for Homelessness, Housing and Health Equity Research; Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans and Military Families; Children's Data Network; and USC Institute for Addiction Science). We provide services to the community and robust student internships through our Telebehavioral Health Clinic and Trauma Recovery Center. As one of five health sciences schools at USC, faculty are actively involved in transdisciplinary collaborations with the schools of medicine, gerontology, pharmacy, and dentistry, as well as policy, engineering, education, and liberal arts. Central to our work are partnerships and collaborations with community-based stakeholders including health care providers, public safety and programs for social change. We are seeking candidates with research interests emphasizing the intersection of artificial intelligence, health promotion, and disease prevention. Candidates should have an established record of funded research, ideally from a variety of sources, including federal, state, and foundation organizations. The school and university have a particularly strong group of faculty emphasizing health, mental health, and sexual health for all populations. Candidates who can add strength to this cluster, and who have experience partnering with allied health professions, are especially preferred. Candidates for full professor are expected to have outstanding records of mentorship at multiple levels, including faculty, postdocs, and students. Experience with teaching in a range of social work policy and practice courses is also highly valued. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate, through ideas, words and actions, a strong commitment to USC's unifying values.
