Job Description
Shift: Day shift Schedule: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM; 2/2/3 shift Pay Rate: $25/hr (Negotiable depending on experience)
Job Description: Performs installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems using one or more trade skills (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry) - Prepares and maintains records of completed maintenance repair work - Maintains current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot in Extrusion, Press, and Bag room Departments
- Learn and understand SAP functions for processing work orders, ordering parts, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits
- PLC understanding preferred
- Breakdown maintenance - Repair of equipment after failure.
- Corrective maintenance - Improvement of equipment, in addition to repair.
- Predictive maintenance - Daily or weekly inspections, cleaning, adjusting, lubricating and replacement.
- Cleaning to inspect and fundamental TPM practices to prevent early failure
- Train new maintenance technicians as required
- Performs building maintenance and production equipment PM's
- Interact and coordinate with outside contractors when needed
- Conduct fire, safety, sanitation inspections
- Assume a resource role on the team and supports team resources and other teammates on a day-to-day basis
- Maintain accurate maintenance history file
- On-the-job training
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Prior Industrial Maintenance experience required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience using electronic and computer troubleshooting equipment.
- Experience in mechanical troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending and lifting of items up to 40 pounds as needed
- Work with and around various solvents, inks, corn starch and cleaning chemicals
- Access all work areas to include frequent climbing on stands, ladders and stairs
- Sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, climb and reach overhead as needed
- Stand on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts
- Utilize fine manipulation skills (including but not limited to the use of a utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools)
- Must be able to distinguish colors for product quality purposes
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management at all levels
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must recognize that job requirements will change as processes evolve
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job in a safe manner.
- Utilize communication skills to effectively express both oral and written ideas individually or in group settings
