Position Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with assigned customers' portfolios and connecting with key business executives within the territory. The Account Manager acts as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams, working jointly to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to your customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Improves the profitability of existing accounts by fully understanding value propositions
  • Supports and implements marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches
  • Secures long-term relationships by negotiating product supply agreements
  • Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Knowledge of gases, including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends, reactive gas blends, industrial cylinder gases, bulk atmospheric gases, and hardgoods
  • Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for gross profit improvement and securing new business
  • Identify and grow opportunities within the territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  • Actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to help minimize working capital investment and financial risk
  • Assist with high-severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Contacts existing accounts and make cold calls to potential targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years of B2B sales and sales management experience
  • Industrial Gas industry experience a plus
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • A "Hunters" mentality with an ability to find qualified opportunities with substantial top-line revenue and gross profit
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time.
  • Successful track record of managing a sales territory
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills to identify critical core
  • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation, and customer presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Solid computer skills and using Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel

While performing this job, the employee must stand for long periods, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard reach, stoop, and kneel. This person must be able to lift, carry, or set down up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by his job include close vision requirements due to computer work.

This is a full-time exempt position.

The compensation range reflects WestAir's good-faith estimate for the base compensation expected at the time of posting. Compensation offered will be determined by the job-related factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location.
