About the Role

In this role, you will take the lead in driving long term, profitable growth for our Marine Systems Product Line - covering both Electric Solutions and Automation & Control Solutions within the Marine & Ports Division. You will be responsible for steering the global product portfolio through every phase of its life cycle and ensuring that our offering remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with market needs.

As the leader of our Technology team, you will define and agree on short and long-term R&D investments together with the Business Line, driving innovation while preserving deep technical expertise across electric and automation domains. With full ownership of both the technology and growth agenda, you will translate market opportunities and Business Line strategy into concrete results, positioning our portfolio for strong and sustainable performance.

Main accountabilities

* Shape the product and technology strategy:Translate business strategy into a strong and relevant offering by defining market and customer segments, assessing portfolio performance, and identifying opportunities for new solutions. Lead the Technology team in setting strategic direction for R&D investments that balance short-term needs with long-term innovation goals.

* Drive end-to-end business performance:Bring together key stakeholders across functions to make strategic decisions that increase market share, profitability, and long-term competitiveness. Define and prioritize R&D spend in collaboration with the Business Line to maximize return on technology investments.

* Lead the global product portfolio and technology development:Oversee both hardware and software products through their full life cycle - from innovation and development to launch, scale, optimization, and retirement. Ensure technical excellence across electric and automation solutions while fostering integration and cross-domain synergies.

* Analyze the business and future potential:Continuously review portfolio performance, evaluate investment options, explore new partnerships, and uncover untapped opportunities. Monitor competitor activity and market shifts to identify technology gaps and guide internal development or external technology acquisition.

* Ensure a competitive value chain:Track performance metrics and make sure our global footprint, delivery model, and value chain remain aligned with customer needs and market expectations.

* Lead and develop the teams:Lead both the Technology team and Product Management team, collaborating with local managers to build high-performing global teams that deliver world-class customer experience and technical excellence.

* Drive new portfolio and technology development:Conduct customer and value analysis, define product and technology roadmaps, optimize R&D efforts and resource allocation, and follow up on execution to maximize market impact and innovation outcomes.

* Identify portfolio and technology gaps:Continuously assess missing capabilities in both product offering and technical competencies to guide strategic decisions on development priorities and technology acquisition.

* Manage product transitions:Oversee the strategic retirement of obsolete or low-performing products while ensuring strong technology roadmaps for future growth.

What you bring

* University degree (Master's or PhD) in a technical field such as electrical engineering, automation, or energy engineering.

* 10+ years of experience in global business management with a proven track record of leadership in engineering or operational projects, including strong experience in technology leadership and R&D management.

* Strategic and operational planning experience with full profit and loss responsibility in a multinational organization, including experience in setting technology strategies and managing innovation portfolios.

* Mindset to innovate, ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends, combined with strong collaboration, communication, influencing, coaching, and leadership skills.
