Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to onsite leadership and/or public responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing individuals to appropriate areas per site policy.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate status updates to site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required per client requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
