- As the Step-down IMC Unit Nurse Manager, you will lead a team of highly engaged, and collaborative clinical professionals in an environment that is wellsupported and encourages transparency and accountability.
- Unit Details: Fully monitored, 25bed Step Down Intermediate Care unit caring for diverse respiratory, cardiac, and neuro patients.
The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and be an active advocate of providing quality patient care, excellent customer service and efficient health care. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care. Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school required enrolled in accredited BSN program with scheduled date of completion.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS.
- NIHSS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administration.
- Ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and efficacious care within the structure of a collaborative health team.
- Knowledge of requirements by federal, state or regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge of effective workforce utilization.
- Knowledge of general financial management.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- CCRN.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.
