Atlantic Union's Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks, and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.
Atlantic Union's Solutions Banking Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into internal auditing. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern, provide the Intern with valuable experience, and allow the Intern to contribute to the Solutions Banking Department.
Position Accountabilities
The Intern is provided assignments that include the entire [Workplace Solutions Relationship Specialist accountabilities specific to role]. The intern will also get the opportunity to: [customize bullet points below congruent to role]
- Engage in AUB's culture to gain understanding of our caring, courageous, and committed values and how we exemplify it internally and externally with community initiatives.
- Gain exposure through AUB leaders, develop partnerships with other lines of businesses, attend and assist with learning retreat trainings, and internal network with peers.
- Play a key role in customer relationship management through proactive outreach to Solutions Banking Decision Makers to share financial wellness offerings and documents in salesforce. Identifying companies who could benefit from our Solutions Banking Program and working with Relationship Managers to onboard new companies.
- Support teams CRA efforts and Branch partnerships to gain fundamental understanding of consumer banking and Community Impact initiatives.
- Hands-On Experience: Working alongside high-performing teams, participating in daily activities to build relationship management skills and gaining insight into solutions banking processes.
- Support marketing activities to enhance client engagement and promote banking services at company onsite events.
- Coordinate and Support financial education seminars and activities with enrolled companies
- Attend event opportunities for new customer acquisition with workplaces for employees and schools for youth banking.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Develop presentation designs to help transform educational financial wellness content into engaging visual presentations.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Manager of Workplace Solutions and has a hybrid residency.
Position Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Position Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years' old
- Currently working on degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
- Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
- Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
- Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

Position Accountabilities
The Intern is provided with assignments that include the entire Payment Operations Management support member. The intern will also get the opportunity to:
- Shadow daily Payment Operation activities.
- Shadow and perform project tracking and updates.
- Shadow and perform scheduling of key meetings pertaining to project assignments.
- Shadow and perform testing of product enhancements.
- Shadow and perform deployment of updates tied to project closure.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Payment Operations Management Team - Reporting to the Director of Payment Operations primarily and has a Remote residency.
