The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to DRPM SUBS program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine construction, industrial base management and workforce development. DRPM SUBS unifies submarine program activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program, the new SSN-X program, and the AUKUS Pillar I trilateral conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarine program to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting DPRM SUBS will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.


Responsibilities

In this role, the Senior Administraative Assistant will support the DRPM SUBS Front Office. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provides general administrative support to help facilitate the overall order and day-to-day functions for DRPM SUBS.
  • Manages schedules by maintaining calendars, setting appointments, and responding to invitations
  • Executive level meeting facilitation and briefing preparations
  • Managing travel inside Defense Travel System
  • Tracking and routing correspondence

This position is located at the Washington Navy Yard.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as an Executive Assistant within DoD, preferably within Navy
  • Proven experience working in a flag level front office.
  • Experience with executive scheduling, Defense Travel System, and front office support.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and analytical skills and the willingness to learn.
  • Current DoD SECRET clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a Navy acquisition program office.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration (or other relevant field)
  • Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes.
