Overview
Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security issues. With over 50 years of business expertise and consistent growth, we are known for continuous innovation for our government customers, in both the US and abroad. Our exceptionally talented team is highly collaborative in spirit and practice, producing Results that Matter. Come work with the best! We offer opportunity, unique challenges, and clear-sighted commitment to the mission. Objective. Responsive. Trusted. The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to DRPM SUBS program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine construction, industrial base management and workforce development. DRPM SUBS unifies submarine program activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program, the new SSN-X program, and the AUKUS Pillar I trilateral conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarine program to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting DPRM SUBS will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. SPA has an immediate need for a Program Analyst to support the new DRPM SUBS leadership. #MC Suppor Responsibilities SPA is seeking an outgoing, detail oriented, self-starter to provide support to the Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager - Submarines (DRPM SUBS). A "Day in the Life" for this position will vary greatly, but the Program Analyst will provide direct program management support to DRPM SUBS, supporting both program integration and development of metrics for submarine construction and maintenance progress. This work may include technical research, development of mitigation plans, technical writing, and action officer efforts. Also, one can expect to brief senior leaders on program progress, being able to translate complex technical problems into executive-ready briefs. Travel to vendor sites for meetings and reviews is possible. It is expected that the amount of independence in this position will quickly grow as the employee becomes acclimated to our customer and product set. This position is located as SPA facilities, with routine trips to client site at Washington Navy Yard. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
