Job Summary

This position will be the primary event planner for the Office of Institutional Advancement and President's Office events, managing all aspects of the event planning process. As a representative for the college this position will interface with the community, government officials, college partners and the college community while providing high level service and creative events and experiences. Flexible, solutions orientated team-member who is willing to partner in growing CGCC's alumni programming and other new opportunities.

Essential Functions

30%: Oversees the management and tracking of the college's grant portfolio while building a collaborative approach both internally and in partnership with the Maricopa District Grants Office

20% Assists in developing and implementing long- and short-term plans, strategies, objectives and program design to secure public and private funding for the enhancement of programs and initiatives

20% Plans, develops and reviews projects and proposals; reviews approval and submission process; reviews and ensures that proposals meet application criteria, technical requirements, and competitive standards

10% Provides oversight and support of grant administration including the evaluation and reporting of grant funding, contracts and projects

10%: Resolves funding issues and recommends solutions to complex problems in collaboration with Grants Accounting

10% Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, finance, business administration or related field, five years of experience planning, administering and facilitating grant funding programs, projects and initiatives related experience that includes two years of supervisory experience if the position is routinely assigned direct reports.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

1. At least 5 years experience in higher education or non-profit grants management

2. At least 5 years experience in grants tracking, accountability and reporting

3. At least 5 years experience navigating diverse funding agencies (local, federal, private)

4. At least 2 years experience in direct or supportive work related to grant writing

5. At least 2 years experience in managing a comprehensive grant budget

6. At least 2 years experience managing, directly or indirectly, a team or grants staff

7. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years.

**** Experience within other community college systems or higher education institutions is valued and may be considered in addition to MCCCD experience. External candidates are encouraged to apply.
