Description

The Manager - HR Technology oversees the human resources management system (HRMS) in addition to other HR systems and is responsible for the day to day operations of our technology platforms. This role provides the technical and analytical support required to ensure that these systems work effectively while maintaining positive working relationships with business stakeholders, system users and vendors. This role must be able to work efficiently with a "can do" attitude in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability to shifting priorities, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Position Accountabilities

General



  • Manage the day to day operational aspects of our Human Resource systems to include but not limited to: UKG, MyTime, HR Connect, Cornerstone and Elevate.
  • Ensure data integrity in HR systems by running queries, auditing and analyzing data.
  • Ensure that HR systems are continually leveraged to increase the operational efficiency of the HR department in meeting the needs of the organization.
  • Provide first level support to users of HR systems, troubleshooting, creating support tickets, root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Identify and leverage available resources to ensure that all end-users of HR systems maintain the knowledge to operate them efficiently.
  • Lead the implementation of system enhancements, new releases and modules.
  • Support M&A activities which includes information transfer for HR, payroll and benefits data.
  • Provide training and oversight of HRIS and Talent Management Systems team with respect to maintaining and facilitating best practices and strengthening knowledge base and development of HRIS and Talent Management Systems team.
  • Lead the development of the HRIS roadmap in partnership with other HR leaders to proactively address business needs including a review of opportunities for long-term system improvements.


Technology Administration



  • Setup and maintain security roles in UKG and group roles in BI-Cognos based on security access guidelines and standards.
  • Setup and maintain system configuration including a periodic review of the functionality of workflow configuration to ensure proper data flow within system
  • Manage and design the mapping of all HRIS tables and UKG Set Up to ensure accurate data capture that promotes prudent compliance and enables comprehensive reporting
  • Ensure accurate process documentation are created and updated for all HRIS workflows and end users.


HR Reporting



  • Determine information needs and define report production for ongoing customer needs leveraging automation.
  • Partner with HR Functional Team Leads to support regulatory, government and operational reporting.


Compliance



  • Ensure HR systems are aligned with Atlantic Union Bank's policies surrounding information technology
  • Partner with HR Operations team in conducting periodic system audits to maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational policies/guidelines.
  • Ensure secondary validation and audit processes and procedures are in place to support data integrity and are integrated into BAU.


Process Improvement



  • Identify and implement improvements to our HRIS systems and related processes through collaboration with key stakeholders to include but not limited to: HR functional leads, Business Leaders, Accounting/Finance, IT and 3rd party vendors.
  • Analyze HR systems, related metrics, SLAs to identify gaps, errors, and efficiency trends in order to provide recommendations for implementing related improvements.
  • Develop and implement a mutually agreed upon process for partnering with HR functional leads in the identification and implementation of components within system releases and updates that would provide efficiencies in their area.
  • Partner with HR functional leads in the identification and implementation of interfaces between HR systems and third party systems to create efficiencies.
  • Develop and document HR systems related process maps and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Utilize available resources to support the necessary follow-through to ensure process/procedural enhancements are integrated into BAU by impacted system users.


User Support/Training



  • Train users (new and existing) on HR system enhancements, new processes/procedures and system functionality.

    • Utilize available resources as needed to develop job aides surrounding HR system procedures and guidelines to support system user's learning.




Project Management



  • Lead all system related components of projects and initiatives using a consultative approach.
  • Provide SME support and guidance in the identification of system related business requirements.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs, and requirements taking into consideration the needs of project team members.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned projects and scope.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field required.
  • Minimum five to seven years' hands on system administration experience.
  • Experience using / managing HRIS systems required (UKG experience preferred).
  • 1-2 years of formal people leadership experience preferred.


Knowledge and Skills



  • Expert at HRIS report writing and providing data analysis using Excel and Cognos.
  • Proven organizational, prioritization, time management, process and project planning skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple system initiatives and audiences.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills with the ability to thrive in an independent role as well as a team environment.
  • Experience with the deployment of a Core HR systems (HCM) preferred
  • Experience in other HR systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, and UKG preferred
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy rules.
  • Knowledge of SQL a plus.


Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
