Position: Digital Press Field Engineer

Pay: $26-$28/hour

Location: Lancaster, PA but must be willing to travel up to 75%

Advantage Technical is seeking a Digital Press Field Engineer to support a global leader in digital printing technology. This field-based role blends advanced troubleshooting with customer training and long-term technical partnership.

As a Digital Press Field Engineer, you will install and commission digital press equipment, diagnose hardware and software issues, and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and calibrations. Using advanced AI-powered remote diagnostic tools, you'll quickly resolve print quality, electrical, and mechanical challenges to maximize uptime. You will also support customer success through onboarding visits, operator training, and structured ramp-up programs. During the first 30-90 days of production, you'll mentor press operators on workflow, color management, media handling, troubleshooting, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Install and service digital press systems at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical circuits using a multimeter
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support
  • Deliver operator training and performance coaching
  • Maintain service documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with Sales, Applications, and Customer Success teams




Qualifications:



  • Technical diploma or degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of field service experience, preferably with digital printing equipment (Indigo preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, print quality)
  • Experience with RIP/DFE workflow systems
  • Willingness to travel frequently
