Job Summary:

Under supervision (of an approved supervisor), this role is accountable for conducting diagnostic assessments; providing group, individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy; engaging in collaborative treatment planning and monitoring; providing crisis intervention and safety assessments; and engaging in care coordination to new and established patients.

Cambridge Medical Center is a regional health care facility providing comprehensive health care services to more than 30,000 residents in Isanti County. The medical center is comprised of a large multi-specialty clinic and an 86-bed hospital located on one large campus. A same day clinic, retail pharmacy, and eye care center are also located in the facility. One of the most unique aspects of the medical center is its size. Although located in the small community of Cambridge (population 5,520), the medical center has over 150,000 clinic patient visits each year, 4,000 inpatient hospital admissions, and has over 100,000 outpatient visits annually.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care (under clinical supervision)
    • Provides evidenced based individual, group, family and/or couples therapy as the role requires.
    • Conducts collaborative diagnostic assessments with patient as the role requires.
    • Creates and implements treatment plans based on patient need as the role requires.
    • Completes comprehensive documentation of clinical care and care coordination.
    • Provides care coordination.
    • Identifies need for community or public agency services.
    • Provides knowledge and education of both community and internal services to benefit patients.
    • Utilizes appropriate billing for services.
    • Applies clinical supervision concepts/tools to guide decision-making (related to assessment, intervention, and complex care coordination during interactions with patients).
    • Completes required trainings based on clinical location.
  • Receives education and supervision
    • Engages in required supervision (per board of designated discipline) with approved clinical supervisor.
    • Engages in clinical case consultation as is applicable.
    • Engages in multidisciplinary care meetings.
    • Attends grand rounds and other training opportunities provided by the Mental Health and Addiction Service Line and the larger Allina Health System

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Therapy fields including counseling, social work, and marriage and family therapy required
  • 2+ years clinical experience preferred
  • Experience in crisis management preferred
  • Licensed Graduate Social Worker - MN Board of Social Work required or
  • Licensed Professional Counselor - MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy required or
  • Associate Marriage and Family Therapist - MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapist required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $32.92 to $45.12 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
