Job Description

Position Summary

The Sustainability Technical Marketing Intern will support Amcor's Sustainability team by developing clear, compelling, and technically accurate marketing collateral to communicate key sustainability topics, regulatory updates, and product attributes to both internal and external audiences.

This role is ideal for a student interested in sustainability communications, packaging science, environmental policy, marketing, or data storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Marketing Collateral Development

Create internal and customerfacing materials such as:

  • Sustainability fact sheets
  • Infographics
  • Customer education onepagers
  • Internal training decks
  • Compliance and regulatory overview summaries

Translate complex sustainability and packaging data into visually engaging and easytounderstand content.

2. Research & Insights

Conduct research on packaging sustainability packaging trends, current legislation, and competitor communications.

3. Data Visualization & Reporting Support

Help visualize sustainability data (recycled content, carbon impacts, recyclability designations, etc.).

4. CrossFunctional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Product Line Management, PD, and Commercial teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging.

Participate in team meetings, project checkins, and brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications

Required:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Marketing, Communications, Packaging Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Preferred:

Experience with graphic design or communication tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Power BI).

Basic understanding of sustainability concepts (e.g., lifecycle impacts, recyclability, circular economy, PCR).

Interest in sustainability legislation, compliance, or packaging claims.
