Position Overview

The Hydraulic Repair Technician is responsible for performing hydraulic repairs under the direction of the Hydraulic Repair Lead. This role focuses on hands-on repair execution, supporting repair evaluations, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Repair Technician assists with workload balancing and supports timely completion of customer and internal repairs. This is a full-time position, M - F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform hydraulic and pneumatic repairs including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, reassembly, testing
  • Repair hydraulic components such as hoses, pumps, crimpers and valves
  • Repair pneumatic components such as cylinders, air motors, and air over oil pumps
  • Identify worn or damaged components and communicate findings to the Repair Lead
  • Provide input on repair scope, parts needed, and estimated labor time
  • Assist with identifying and verifying correct parts for repairs
  • Pull parts from inventory or stage incoming parts for assigned jobs
  • Accurately record parts used and labor time on each repair job
  • Maintain job documentation to support order completion and invoicing
  • Perform functional testing of repaired components per specifications
  • Ensure repairs meet quality and performance standards prior to release
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework and warranty claims
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Properly handle hydraulic fluids, tools, and equipment
  • First-pass yield / rework rate
  • Adherence to assigned repair priorities and timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of hydraulic repair or mechanical repair experience
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic components and systems
  • Ability to read basic hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow work instructions and repair standards
  • Epicor Prophet 21 experience a plus / Basic computer skills


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Hands-on work in a shop environment with hydraulic components and industrial equipment.
  • Regular standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and use of tools.
  • PPE and tools provided
