Summary: The Manager - Epic Digital Health provides operational and strategic leadership for Epic patient engagement platforms, including MyChart, MyChart Bedside, Nurse Triage, Cheers (Campaigns and Call Management), and Hello World. This role oversees a team of Epic analysts responsible for system configuration, optimization, support, and project implementation. The Manager ensures system integrity, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with enterprise digital health and patient experience strategies. This position serves as the primary liaison between ISD Digital Health & Innovation team and clinical, operational, marketing, and call center stakeholders to ensure Epic tools are effectively deployed to enhance patient engagement, improve workflows, and support organizational objectives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Personnel Management
- Directly supervises Epic analysts supporting MyChart, MyChart Bedside, Nurse Triage, Cheers, and Hello World.
- Establishes team goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provides coaching and feedback.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and cross-training to support operational continuity.
- Fosters a collaborative, service-oriented, and patient-centered team culture.
2. Operational Oversight
- Oversees day-to-day operations of Epic Digital Health platforms.
- Ensures timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and system issues.
- Establishes and monitors operational metrics related to system performance, adoption, and service levels.
- Oversees Epic upgrade planning, testing coordination, and deployment activities.
- Maintains system configuration standards and documentation.
3. Strategic Planning & Governance
- Develops and maintains a digital health platform roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Leads governance processes related to change management, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Collaborates with enterprise leaders to evaluate and implement new Epic functionality.
- Identifies opportunities to optimize workflows and improve patient engagement through Epic tools.
4. Compliance & Security
- Ensures adherence to organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and Epic security standards.
- Maintains appropriate access controls and system integrity safeguards.
- Supports audit readiness and regulatory reporting requirements.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Serves as liaison between ISD and clinical, operational, marketing, and revenue cycle stakeholders.
- Facilitates stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, communicate system updates, and manage expectations.
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
6. Financial & Resource Management
- Assists in development and management of operating and capital budgets related to Epic Digital Health initiatives.
- Monitors project budgets and resource utilization.
- Participates in vendor contract evaluation and management, as applicable.
7. Project Management & Technical Oversight
- Oversees planning and execution of Epic Digital Health projects.
- Ensures adherence to project timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Provides consultative guidance regarding Epic system capabilities and configuration.
- Coordinates cross-functional testing, training, and go-live support.
Other Information
Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Licensure/Certification Requirements: * No licensure or certification required. Professional Experience Requirements: * If a Bachelor's degree: Three (3) years of relevant experience. * If an Associate's degree: Seven (7) years of relevant experience. * If a High School diploma or GED: Eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
