Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a Network Security Manager to lead the design, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise network and security solutions. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people and project management, focusing on next-generation firewalls, SASE architectures, and modern enterprise networking. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler SASE, and large-scale network environments, and can translate business needs into secure, scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and manage enterprise network security architecture across on-prem, cloud, and remote environments

  • Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, Prisma) and Zscaler SASE (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).

  • Design and manage secure enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.

  • Drive Zero Trust and SASE strategies, aligning security controls with business and user experience requirements.

  • Oversee firewall policy design, threat prevention, URL filtering, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.

  • Ensure secure integration with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS applications.

Operations & Security

  • Own day-to-day network security operations, including incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with SOC, IAM, and cloud teams to ensure cohesive security posture.

  • Establish and maintain security standards, best practices, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, SOC2, NIST).

People & Project Management

  • Manage and mentor a team of network and security engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.

  • Lead security-related projects from planning to execution, including vendor coordination and stakeholder communication.

  • Prioritize workstreams, manage budgets, and track deliverables across multiple initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, application teams, and business stakeholders.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Evaluate emerging security technologies and make recommendations for adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of experience in networking and network security, with at least 4+ years in a technical lead or management role.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, Threat Prevention, Global Protect)

    • Zscaler SASE (ZIA, ZPA; ZDX preferred)

    • Enterprise routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, TCP/IP)

  • Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale, highly available network environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Prisma SD-WAN, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.).

  • Cloud networking and security experience (AWS/Azure networking, security groups, transit gateways).

  • Certifications such as PCNSE, PCNSA, Zscaler certifications, CCNP, and CISSP.

  • Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures.

  • Prior experience in regulated or large enterprise environments.

Base Pay Range: $151,900.00 - $258,200.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the pay for this position in the primary location identified in this posting. Actual pay depends on several factors, including state minimum pay wage rates, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education level or training.
