Security Officer - Foot Patrol Officer

As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Officer in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist students, staff, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations and/or incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and surrounding grounds, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or hazards.
• Monitor and document security-related activity, complete required reports, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or local emergency partners as needed.
• Support campus operations by checking doors and perimeter points, assisting with crowd presence during events, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
