As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and use computer or tablet tools to document activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting the appropriate medical staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points and interior corridors, verify authorized entry as required, and assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding in accordance with site policies.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems, and communicate pertinent information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This is a hospital site where vaccines are required.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
