Business Unit: Cubic Transportation Systems Company Details: The Senior Inventory Administrator is responsible for managing materials and overseeing inventory operations within assigned areas. This role performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support inventory control and ensure efficient warehouse operations. Additionally, the position provides leadership and task direction to other team members, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with procedures. While typically working under close supervision, the incumbent regularly exercises substantial discretion and decision-making authority in managing day-to-day activities. Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ServiceNow, NCS, SAP, and PLM systems to maintain accurate asset and inventory records; purchase and track parts, manage BOMs, and analyze dashboards/reports to identify trends such as endofshelflife or required part rotation.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and timely replenishment of critical materials.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to review part availability, lead times, substitutions, and obsolescence risks.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to evaluate program needs, resolve inventory challenges, establish priorities, and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager and field service teams to communicate inventory impacts related to installations, deinstallations, and field operations.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and train/mentor inventory staff to ensure compliance with established processes and performance standards.
  • Assist with scheduling based on parts usage and consumption and support managers with investigative reports and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform cycle counts, stock audits, discrepancy resolution, and support internal/external audits while maintaining accurate and compliant inventory records.
  • Verify and process incoming and outgoing orders; inspect shipments for accuracy/damage, update ERP and ServiceNow systems, and resolve discrepancies with procurement.
  • Distribute stock to technicians and fulfill internal/external material requests; monitor and replenish supply chain components for maintenance activities, including submitting requisitions and sales orders.
  • Execute shipping operations, including contractcompliant packaging, generating carrier labels (FedEx/UPS), and maintaining detailed shipment manifests.
  • Receive and process customer parts and documentation; update internal records and field service reports accordingly.
  • Organize and maintain clean, secure, and properly labeled storage areas; consolidate inventory locations and update locator systems.
  • Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained across all work and storage areas.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in supply chain, logistics, orbusiness preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or material management.
  • Proficiency in ERP and inventory management systems, with strong computer skills (MS Excel and Office Suite).
  • Ability to generate and analyze inventory reports; solid understanding of inventory control principles, stock rotation, and warehouse best practices.
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work under supervision while exercising sound judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs).

Cubic Pay Range:

$19.90 - $43.15 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
