Who We Are:

The Branches Excel (Magnolia) Outpatient Clinic Therapist is an active member of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role-modeling to patients. Other duties include organizing patient activities, filing, charting, calculating point sheets and levels, and completing schedules. All program therapist work under the direction of the Director Outpatient Services and/or Assistant Director Outpatient Services. This is not a remote position.

The Magnolia Center Ft. Worth is an outpatient clinic serving Children Only (17 years and under). We are a specialized day treatment center meeting the emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents. We offer Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs in a safe and supportive environment for youth whose emotional and behavioral problems are interfering with their ability to function effectively at home, at school, and in the community. Our team of dedicated psychiatrists, nurses, licensed therapists and teachers are experienced in working with children, adolescents and families. An affiliate of Millwood Hospital, the Excel Center of Ft. Worth offers a less restrictive treatment environment than an inpatient facility. This is not a remote position.

Position Summary: Licensed Outpatient Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled licensed Intensive Outpatient Therapist to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mental health counseling and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention. As an Outpatient Therapist, you will provide structured outpatient services to individuals (17 years of age and under) and groups, supporting their journey toward recovery and well-being through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, and developmental disabilities.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and art or dance therapy as appropriate.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques while ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Document clinical progress accurately in medical records, adhering to medical terminology standards and medical documentation protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive case management strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or data collection efforts aimed at enhancing treatment outcomes and service quality.

Work Hours:

PRN (As needed) Shifts will be Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm at our Magnolia Branches location:

Work Location: 1307 8th Ave, Floor 5, Ft. Worth, TX 76104

Must be available to attend the Full Hospital Orientation: Week 1: MONDAY -FRIDAY (8 AM - 5 PM)


Qualifications

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field; licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
  • EXPERIENCE: Prefer at least 3 years' experience in outpatient mental health settings with familiarity in hospital or clinic environments.
  • LICENSURE: LMSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent licensure required.
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Verbal De-escalation prior to on-the-job training.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and addiction counseling.
  • Competency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage patients effectively across telehealth platforms when applicable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.
