Job Description Inside Sales Specialist-International 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207 TX041 Corporate Store Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 6:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Inside Sales Specialist-International, you will receive inquiries from external customers and internal references to facilitate sales in international regions that do not currently have a dedicated Fastenal branch presence. You will not only work with external customers around the world, but also closely coordinate efforts with a multitude of internal teams to ensure that customers, products, and procedures are all in compliance with international trade regulations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: oDeveloping and executing a sales plan to reach & exceed our business goals while also implementing cost savings opportunities for our customers oMaintaining and growing the existing customer base oSourcing, quoting, purchasing, and coordinating shipments to international customers oIdentify new potential suppliers & sources for current customer needs oUnderstanding what resources are available to complete the task at hand and utilizing them appropriately oBalancing multiple customer requests at different stages of the purchasing process, and meeting customer requirements based on individual country regulations oCompleting required training within the training period (as applicable) oSupporting and participating in continuous improvement activities along with performing other duties as needed for branch success REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed oPossess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR experience in a customer service and sales-oriented environment o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self directed, and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled conference calls not during business hours o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: oPossess experience in inventory management, logistics, operations, quoting, sourcing or purchasing oPossess product knowledge in MRO, OEM or a related industrial field oExperience reading technical drawings TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: Our mission within Fastenal's School of Business is to collaboratively maximize the potential of each employee by consistently providing efficient, effective, and engaging learning opportunities to drive improved work performance.
