| Essential Job Duties |
The NC State Forestry Club has a need for a responsible and experienced assistant coach, who is well-versed in the technical events needed to compete in timbersports competitions. They will coach undergraduate students who are new to events such as cross-cut saw, underhand chop, and pole fell. They will attend intercollegiate competitions with the team and assist with logistics and driving.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Periodically attend Forestry Club practices to assist with training the students in timbersports skills.
- Attend at least two competitions in an official capacity as assistant coach.
- Assist with set-up, practice sessions, and clean-up, as needed.
- Assist with driving 15 passenger vans or trucks to events as needed.
- Assist with inspecting and maintaining timbersports equipment as needed.

Requirements and Preferences
| Work Schedule |
Most practices occur in the evenings during the week. Competitions are on weekends. The team usually attends 3 competitions per year and hosts 1 competition per year. |

| Minimum Experience/Education |
High school degree and 4 years of experience in timbersports (either participating or coaching). |
