Genetic Counselor, Norton Children's Medical Group - Weisskopf Center Genetics

The Genetic Counselor works with the Norton Medical Group Genetic Counseling Services practice. General responsibilities include:

• Collaborates with Norton Healthcare providers and service lines to evaluate and provide comprehensive genetic counseling to patients
• Participates in all aspects of the Genetic Counseling Services including patient care, research, community outreach, and education
• Provides timely documentation in electronic medical record systems and communicates results effectively to patients and referring providers as needed
• Provides regular input and ideas for programmatic and personal growth and development
• Participates in departmental meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Must have hospital and/or payer credentialing completed before functioning in this role.
• Master Degree
• Certified Genetic Counselor Must obtain Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential within 12 months of hire. AND One of: LGC or TLGC

Desired:

• One year genetic counseling
• Licensed Genetic Counselor OR Temporary Licensed Genetic Counselor
