We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to help modernize and optimize operations supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will shape the processes that enable critical aviation programs to operate safely, efficiently, and at scale. You will work alongside FAA stakeholders, engineers, and program leaders to evaluate how work is done today and design how it should be done tomorrow. In this position, you will:

Lead business process analysis, design, and optimization across FAA programs.

• Translate operational challenges into efficient, compliant future-state processes.

• Provide data-driven insights through gap analyses, impact assessments, and KPIs.

• Evaluate current- and future-state performance to guide continuous improvement.

• Facilitate workshops to capture requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

• Partner with FAA stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams to deliver practical solutions.

• Collaborate with IT and systems teams to align business processes with technology solutions.

• Support process alignment during system implementations and upgrades.

• Support adoption through training, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

• Prepare executive-level briefings, dashboards, and reports on progress and outcomes.

Strong processes are essential to aviation safety and efficiency. In this role, your work directly supports the FAA's ability to operate effectively, reduce risk, and deliver safe, reliable airspace operations nationwide-while giving you meaningful exposure to high-impact federal programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or Masters degree and 6 years or Associate's degree and 10 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
• Experience in business process analysis, workflow design, or process improvement.
• Expertise with business process modeling standards and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio, ARIS, Lucidchart).
• Strong knowledge of federal compliance requirements and process frameworks.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and how they intersect with business processes.
• Experience defining process performance dashboards and monitoring tools.
• Strong skills in documentation, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience.

• Experience supporting FAA, DOT, DHS, or other federal agency modernization programs.

• Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or SAFe Agilist.

• Experience with digital transformation, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-driven process optimization.

• Familiarity with NextGen FAA initiatives and NAS modernization dependencies.

• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives in complex organizations.

• Strong background in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
