Assist in and are responsible for the work of Electricians and other assigned personnel.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The Electrician Foreman directs and supervises the work of Electricians installing, repairing and maintaining electrical and electronics systems, instruments and equipment.
  • The Electrician Foreman determines need for, and requisitions, parts and equipment necessary to perform various maintenance tasks.
  • The Electrician Foreman maintains overtime, costs, repair and other job-related records.
  • The Electrician Foreman verifies and approves work order numbers and charges on employee time cards.
  • The Electrician Foreman prepares estimates for contemplated overhaul, repair and replacement of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • The Electrician Foreman verifies and approves materials used; reorder to maintain shop inventory.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience sufficient to qualify as a journeyman Electrician, with a minimum of nine (9) years (108 months) of actual work in the trade, including apprenticeship or vocational training. The trade for this purpose shall include work normally performed by Electricians i.e. installing, maintaining, and/or repairing electrical systems, generators, transformers, motors, and other electrical/electronic controls, electrical switchboard and other apparatus utilizing electricity, electrical, electronic and direct digital control systems, fire and alarm systems, and associated electrical, electronic and fiber optic equipment.
