The Head of U.S. Public Sector Sales owns the strategy, execution, and explosive growth of Check Point's Federal and SLED business across the United States. This executive leader will build, scale, and lead a high-performing sales organization that drives predictable revenue, deepens customer and partner relationships, and reinforces Check Point's leadership position within the U.S. Government cybersecurity market.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Own

Business Leadership



  • Serve as the executive leader for Check Point's entire U.S. Public Sector business, spanning Federal, State and Local Government, and Education customers


  • Lead, develop, and scale an organization of 5 Regional Sales Managers and 30+ Sales Account Managers, driving consistent over-achievement of individual and regional revenue targets


  • Own end-to-end sales strategy, execution, and performance management for the Public Sector business, ensuring tight alignment with broader Americas and global objectives


  • Build your team fast by recruiting proven A-players from your network who would jump at the chance to work with you again


Strategic Execution & Customer Engagement



  • Actively engage with key customers, partners, and prospects, directly participating in strategic account pursuits, executive briefings, and high-value deal closures


  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships across government agencies, system integrators, channel partners, and distributors to accelerate pipeline growth and deal velocity


  • Deliver accurate, disciplined forecasting and business updates to senior leadership, providing clear visibility into pipeline health, risks, and opportunities that matter to the Americas business


  • Establish and manage a data-driven operating rhythm, leveraging KPIs and forecasting tools to track daily, weekly, and quarterly sales performance


Team Development & Talent Strategy



  • Coach, mentor, and develop leaders and sellers through rigorous 1:1s, pipeline reviews, deal inspections, and customer engagement feedback


  • Lead talent strategy for the organization: hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning to support long-term, sustainable growth


  • Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and competitive excellence


Cross-Functional Partnership & Market Leadership



  • Partner with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Channel, Technical, and Product teams to ensure flawless execution and customer success


  • Master and evangelize Check Point's AI security story, built on our aggressive investments in cutting-edge AI companies and elite AI talent


  • Reinforce Check Point's value proposition through deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, government mission requirements, and the evolving threat environment


  • Ensure your team demonstrates strong proficiency in government procurement models, contract vehicles, compliance requirements, and how federal and SLED agencies evaluate, buy, and consume technology


Industry Advocacy & Strategic Influence



  • Act as an industry advocate for Check Point in Public Sector, participating in the right government forums and events


  • Work closely with our Government Advisory Council, State and Federal Lobbyists, and key legal advisors as we transition to FoCI compliance

Qualifications

Required Experience



  • 8-10+ years leading Public Sector sales organizations, including Federal and/or SLED markets


  • Proven background in cybersecurity, high-technology, SaaS, or enterprise software environments


  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex sales organizations with multi-layered leadership structures


  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue quotas as a sales leader


  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a focus on operational rigor and flawless execution


Leadership & Performance Management



  • Strong leadership capabilities with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams


  • A reputation that precedes you: people from your past teams actively want to work for you again, and you can recruit them quickly


  • Highly analytical, with hands-on experience managing KPIs, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance metrics


  • Ability to build accountability and drive results through direct and matrixed reporting structures


Market & Technical Expertise



  • Deep understanding of the U.S. Public Sector cybersecurity market, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment


  • Genuine curiosity about AI and eagerness to carry a differentiated AI security story into every government conversation


  • Fluency in government procurement processes, compliance frameworks, and how agencies make buying decisions


  • Understanding of FedRAMP, CMMC, FISMA, and other relevant security and compliance standards


Executive Presence & Communication



  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive presence skills


  • Comfortable engaging C-level government stakeholders, agency leaders, and senior military officials


  • Ability to represent Check Point at industry events, briefings, and high-stakes customer engagements


Logistics



  • Willing and able to travel across the U.S. as required


  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
