As a Security Officer - Exterior Foot Rounds in North Bergen, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, document activity using site technology, and provide clear, professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.
• Monitor access points and truck traffic by verifying credentials, directing visitors and drivers to designated areas, and maintaining entry and exit logs per site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting responding personnel as directed.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, observe and report hazards or unusual conditions, and communicate site updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
