INVISTA is seeking a Quality Coordinator to support pre-production and manufacturing of N6,6 Staple fibers in Seaford, DE.

Our Team

The Quality Coordinator position will interact closely with Operations personnel and other capabilities to provide support for our Seaford site, while advancing the Business Team Concept. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated team member who embodies our Principle-Based Management approach, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and alignment with customer needs - all while fostering collaboration and integrity.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain the lab method's health by managing internal and external calibration
  • Provide quality systems training and assistance to employees in quality decisions and measurement techniques
  • Complete capability studies and gauge R&R analysis/ data analysis
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations
  • Assist with the retesting of the product for product release/ customer complaint, etc.
  • Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports
  • Operate precision measuring instruments in accordance with standard procedures
  • Lead the internal and external ISO audits
  • Apply statistical process control for continuous improvement of lab methods
  • Maintain and upgrade the lab procedures
  • Troubleshoot the issues with the help of internal resources/vendors

Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to work cross-functionally with our operating and technical teams
  • Strong alignment with Principle-Based Management
  • Knowledge and experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to apply SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 1 year of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the receiving and incoming inspection process and requirements
  • This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years of quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance in a lab environment
  • Customer Service experience and maintaining relationships with outside vendors
  • Experience with Lean/5S/Six Sigma

Physical Requirements

  • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, lab coats, gloves, and safety boots. PPE use is in accordance with the safety rules and regulations
  • Must be capable of regular lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lifting and moving up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Required to work an 8-hour shift. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs
